Woodbury County Conservation is pleased to offer campgrounds, shelters and camping cabins for public use. Cabins and enclosed shelters may be reserved; campground sites and open shelters are managed on a first-come, first-served basis. Following is a brief description of various facility types.

CAMPGROUNDS - Family campgrounds are managed on a first-come, first-served basis and provide sites for six or fewer people. Sites cannot be reserved. Camping fees are paid by self-registration in the campgrounds. The camping season is from May 1st - October 31st. Campground amenities vary from primitive to 50 amp electrical service, area water hydrants and dump stations. All campgrounds have access to modern restroom and shower facilities. CAMPING FEES $12/day-Non-electrical $17/day-Electrical; Firewood -$5.00 bundle.

CABINS -  Four overnight cabins are available at Little Sioux Park. The cabins sleep up to six people and include a mini-refrigerator, microwave, sink, table and chairs, air conditioning, heat and electricity. ENCLOSED SHELTERS - These are completely enclosed buildings with outdoor patios and grills. They are usually equipped with the following: kitchen area with refrigerator, sink and counter tops; indoor restrooms; a fireplace with some wood provided; and picnic tables. Lodges are not heated or air conditioned. Reservations are required.

OPEN SHELTERS These are open-air facilities which provide picnic tables on a concrete floor. Each shelter typically has the following: electrical outlets; pedestal stoves for grilling; and a nearby restroom. Some shelters have nearby horseshoe courts, playgrounds and, possibly campgrounds. Reservations are not required.

NATURE CENTER - The Dorothy Pecaut Nature Center is a county facility that supports outdoor educational programs. Located in Stone State Park, the Nature Center provides unique learning opportunities within a few minutes of downtown Sioux City. The classroom areas can be rented for private parties, retreats or receptions for a fee. Reservations are required.
