Nature Detectives: June 30-July 1 or July 8-9 Campers and their adult will explore the natural world together as we all become detectives to unravel a few of nature’s mysteries. We’ll use binoculars, magnifying lens and other discovery tools during our explorations. We’ll hit the trails, read books, make crafts and more! |

Tales & Trails: June 22-26 or July 27-31 (6 Spaces) In this camp, each day will feature a new nature story and animal. Once campers are introduced to the day’s theme, we’ll explore the trails in search of our storybook friends. This is the perfect camp for your children to start exploring nature with peers. |

Intriguing Insects: June 15-19 or August 3-7 (6 spaces) Campers will spend these weeks investigating intriguing insects like grasshoppers, dragonflies, ants, butterflies and more. We’ll uncover all we can about how these creatures move, where they live, what they eat and so much more! |

Wild Voices: July 20-24 Howls, hoots, chirps and croaks are just a few of the sounds that animals make. Join us to discover how and why wildlife make noises plus learn how to find them by listening. Games, crafts, and lots of exploring are included this week. |

Wildlife Watch: June 8-12 This week will be packed full of exciting games and activities as campers learn the basics of watching wildlife. We’ll explore different habitats, learn about various animal groups and discover the best ways to find animals like deer, birds, frogs and more. We’ll even spend one day at Snyder Bend Park, near Salix, for campers to discover wetland habitats and experience canoeing. |

Bull’s Eye Camp: June 4 Campers will learn outdoor recreation skills such as archery, firearm safety and rifle shooting from certified instructors. Camp will take place at the ML “Stubb” Gray Shooting Range near Correctionville and Little Sioux Park. Campers must provide their own transportation to and from this site. A map and details will be provided to you after registration. |

Night Noises: June 22-26 or July 13-17 Ever wonder who’s awake and making all that noise at night? Then join us to explore all about nature at night as we investigate nocturnal creatures like owls, bats, and coyotes. Stories, crafts and games are sure to be included in these fun-filled weeks. |

Happy Hoppers: July 27-31 (1 spot) Campers, be prepared for some new hoppy adventures during this camp as we discover animals that hop, skip and jump! Rabbits, frogs & insects will be just a few of the animals we’ll explore. |

Things with Wings: June 15-19 (1 spot) or July 13-17 Soaring hawks, darting dragonflies, hovering hummingbirds, and all flying creatures will be our focus these weeks. Campers will investigate the world of wings and flight through games, activities and experiments. They’ll even hit the trails in search of the real fancy fliers. |

Water Wonders: July 20-24 or August 3-7 Come get your feet wet as we discover all we can about water. We’ll compare ponds, rivers, lakes and oceans plus the animals that live in them. Campers will spend one day at Stone State Park’s Turtle Lake to learn all about wetlands and fishing. |

Science Sampler: July 6-10 Are you curious about rocks, stars, storms and other natural sciences? Then join us for an adventurous week of exploring astronomy, geology, weather and more. Experiments, demonstrations, games and activities will help us in our investigations. |

Outdoor Adventure: July 2 We’ll spend the day hiking, exploring and cooking lunch in Dutch Ovens. There may be some challenges along the way as campers will need to work together throughout the day. Camp will take place at Fowler Forest Preserve near Smithland and Southwood Conservation Area. Campers must provide their own transportation to and from this site. A map and details will be provided to you after registration. |
