Camps Overview |
|
Woodbury County Conservation Board has been hosting summer day camps at the Dorothy Pecaut Nature Center for 13 years. They are designed to encourage hands-on learning through outdoor explorations, hiking, activities, games, crafts and more. The programs are led by full-time professional environmental educators and seasonal naturalist staff. Our camp leaders thrive on the joys and challenges of teaching about the amazing facets of nature through hands-on creative and fun activities.
The number of campers is limited to ensure a fun learning experience with a ratio of between 14-20 campers to 2 staff depending on the campers ages.
¨ All campers participate in outdoor explorations and hiking ¨ Ages 9 & up must bring a bag lunch with a drink ¨ Each registered camper receives a camp T-shirt ¨ A daily snack with drink are provided for all ages
