Bump in the Night:  July 7-11 or July 28-Aug. 1

Would you like to know what goes Bump in the Night? Join us for these fun-filled weeks as we explore the world of nocturnal animals. Campers will discover amazing facts and adaptations about owls, bats, coyotes and other nighttime creatures.

 

Nature Detectives: July 23-24

Campers and their adult will explore the natural world together as we all become detectives to unravel a few of nature’s mysteries. We’ll use binoculars, magnifying lens and other discovery tools during our explorations. We’ll hit the trails, read books, make crafts and more!

 

Tales & Trails: June 16-20 or July 14-18

In this camp, each day will feature a new nature story and animal. Once campers are introduced to the day’s theme, we’ll explore the trails in search of our storybook friends. This is the perfect camp for your children to start exploring nature with peers.

 

Insectigations: June 23-27 or July 28-Aug. 1

Campers will spend these weeks investigating insects and their creepy crawly relatives. We’ll uncover all we can about how these creatures move, where they live, what they eat and so much more!

Happy Hoppers: July 7-11 or August 4-8

Campers be prepared for some new hoppy adventures during these camps as we discover animals that hop, skip and jump! Rabbits, frogs & insects will be just a few of the animals we’ll explore.

Frogs, Toads, Snakes, OH MY!: July 14-18

Campers will spend the week exploring the world of amphibians & reptiles this week. They’ll even have the chance to meet few special guests while discovering what is ‘toad’ally cool about these creatures.

 

Water Works: June 16-20 or Aug. 4-8

Come get your feet wet as we discover all we can about water. We’ll compare ponds, rivers, lakes and oceans plus the animals that live in them. A day of hiking & fishing will be included in these weeks of fun.

 

Predators & Prey:  June 23-27

Who’s hunting who? Campers will spend the week discovering how predators find their prey and how prey try to avoid being caught. We’ll explore the outdoors, play games and uncover the amazing adaptations these animals have.

 

Animal Abodes:  July 21-25

Whether it’s a hole in a log, a nest in a tree or the tallgrass prairie, animals all need a place to call home. We’ll discover what animals need to survive, how they build their homes, their special adaptations and explore their habitats.

Sessions is 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.            Cost: $80-Daily snack & drink provided

Each session is limited to 20 children       Kids must bring sack lunch with drink

Hiking will take place during camp.           Children will learn to canoe one day.                        

Badgers  Camp:

Ages 11 & 12

Seeking Outdoor Skills:  June 9-13

This week will be packed full of exciting games and activities as campers learn some outdoor recreation and survival skills. Campers will be introduced to archery, hiking, camping skills, fire building and safety and more. We’ll experience Dutch Oven cooking and prepare our lunch one day and we’ll spend another day at Snyder Bend Park, near Salix, for campers to experience canoeing and wetland explorations.
