Picnic sites are available at:
- Fowler Forest Preserve
- Southwood Conservation Area
- Brown’s Lake—Bigelow Park
- Snyder Bend Park
- Midway Park
- Little Sioux Park
Open shelters are found at Brown's Lake—Bigelow Park, Snyder Bend Park, Fowler Forest Preserve or Little Sioux Park. Open shelters cannot be reserved.
Enclosed picnic shelters at Little Sioux Park and Brown's Lake—Bigelow Park can be rented for a fee. Call the Resource Manager in each respective park to rent the enclosed shelters. See Facility Rentals.

Woodbury County is located in far west-central Iowa in the Loess Hills and along the Missouri River. It is home to areas such as Dorothy Pecaut Nature Center, Little Sioux Park, Snyder Bend Park and Owego Wetland. The Woodbury CCB collectively manages 16 parks, natural areas, public hunting areas, wetlands and preserves encompassing over 5,500 acres across the county. You will find a tremendous variety of outdoor recreational opportunities for people of all ages and interests.
